Tiny Talk Tuesday

J is 27 months old

Somewhere along this blogging journey, I found this idea for recording the funny and interesting things our little ones are saying. Here is where I like to link up and share them. Feel free to visit Not Before 7 by clicking the button above and join the fun!

One day this week (as I do so many times) I was telling J that he is so cute. He just warms my heart with his little personality and I continue to be amazed he is ours. Well, J apparently didn't like that this time and said, "I am not cute. I am not cute mommy." I told him that cute is good. He said, "Not cute is good."

So this was a goofy little Tiny Talk moment. J had his hand in his mouth and was saying "I can't do it! I can't do it!" So I asked him what he was trying to do. He said, "My teeth - I want to take my teeth off." OK where this came from, I have NO idea! And told him, unfortunately, our teeth don't come off ;o)

I keep some of J's latest artwork hung up on our pantry door. He points to a picture he colored in Sunday school which was of Hannah from 1Samuel chapter 1 on her knees praying. He asks, "What's this momma?" So I put the question back to him since he colored it and he said, "That's Hannah. She's crying....She wants a baby and she's praying. How cute that he remembered this and he said it with such emotion too.

We went out on a date night and our friends watched J for us. When we got back J was sitting on the couch and out of the blue says, "What time is it?" Huh? We have not talking about time in a teaching way that I can think of! Daddy got a really big kick out of this. I overheard daddy retelling this story like J was thinking, come on mom & dad, I got an appointment down at the park!
