Psalm 127:1 Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. This is a place for me to share my journey of faith and life as a stay-at-home mom. My prayer is to inspire and encourage others and record those precious moments of my son's childhood.

Bursary of Bliss
I was visiting my friend Tea's blog yesterday and found a post that really resonated with me. It was entitled Bursary of Bliss. The idea comes from this blog Windy Poplars.
What a wonderful idea, to get on paper the things that soothe your soul, speak to your heart, or calm your spirit. Things that truly bring joy. The idea is to be able to incorporate these things into your life regularly so you can recharge and be refreshed.
Here is my list so far:
*hearing the tiny laugh of a little baby
*floating on my back in the water underneath a clear blue sky
*the smells of summer (cocoa butter suntan lotion, food on a grill, the smell of a lake)
*watching my 2 year old son sleeping peacefully
*having my cat laying on me to sleep in my bed
*having a friend go out of their way for me
*Being pleasantly surprised by seeing the Lord's beauty out in nature
*having the Lord speak to me through is word and instantly being moved by it
*having nothing to do but curl up with a good book on a rainy or cold day
*walking barefoot on the grass
*being on vacation and soaking up the moment
*watching a beautiful sunset
*seeing a rainbow in the sky
*smelling fresh lilacs

Tracey,
Your list is beautiful! So many things on your list could be on my own. I wish we lived close to each other so we could hang out. :)
I'm going to come back this evening to catch up on your last few posts, but so glad I got to catch this one just now! :)
You know, I have had that same thought MANY times. Maybe some day we'll be passing through the other's area...that'd be great.
And thank you for being such a faithful follower!
That would be great! :)
