**J is 28 months old**

We were going to the Y to work out and I was just starting to get J out of his car seat when I banged my elbow really hard on the door. I'm back there holding my arm and moaning "OW, OW, OW" when J reaches out and starts patting me on the back saying "Are you OK mommy? You okay?" I was okay then because this was just so cute!!!
One night after brushing his teeth J says, "Go potty mommy?" J isn't potty trained yet, but several months ago we bought his first potty and have been encouraging him to use it as he's ready. So at first when he said this, I thought he was asking me if I wanted to go but then he sat down on the potty and started to shut the door. When he realized his little stool was in the way, he got up, moved the stool and then shut the door for privacy. Too bad he was still wearing his diaper at the time!
We celebrated my 40th birthday this weekend and had family and friends over to celebrate with us. My sister was talking to J about our cat, Buca. She asked him, "Is Buca your friend, J?" J said, "No he's not. When my sister asked him why he said, "Buca can't talk!"
One of our friend's sons at the party has some really curly black hair. J was talking about him and said, "Dominic is funny momma." I asked him why he was funny. He said, "Dominic has big hair!" This was so funny to me.
